Scraps into Pineapple Quilt Blocks

I LOVE Pineapple!  I love the aroma of them, and the exotic taste.

This time I’m turning scraps into pineapples.  Scrap fabric, that is, and into quilt blocks called pineapples.

Did you know you can ferment pineapple peels and cores into a tasty beverage called Tepache?  It’s a bit boozy, and quite nice.  Hic.

My Scrap Happy event on May 30th is all about turning scraps of fabric into Pineapple quilt blocks with a few variations and using different widths of strips.  So down the rabbit hole I went. I’ve been there before, lol!

The opportunities to be creative with these blocks are endless.

And, no special ruler is required.  Just a regular quilting ruler with lines every 1/4 inch.  And a pile of scrap fabrics in lights, mediums and darks.

Here’s the write-up for my last Scrap Happy Class; an insulated casserole carrier.  That class went really well!
