Prairie Points Sampler

How many ways can I make Prairie Points? I made them 8 different ways for a Scrap Happy class/workshop, so ended up with a stack of them. A  Prairie Point Sampler was created!

On the last Sunday of each month, at 10 a.m. my time (Toronto Ontario time) I teach an online scrap class/workshop via Zoom.  It’s only $5 and I have quite a few “regulars” that sign up for every class.  I usually begin with a Power Point, then move onto a real live demonstration of the technique or method that I’m teaching.  There’s always a handout with all the instructions and often a pattern that incorporates the current topic.  All for $5 Canadian per class.

My 8 ways to a Prairie Point Sampler:

  1. Traditional, 2 diagonal folds
  2. 3-fold with center opening
  3. 3-fold with decorative stitching
  4. 3-fold in 2 colours
  5. 3-fold with contrast center strip
  6. Continuous Interlocking Prairie Points in 1 fabric
  7. Continuous Interlocking Prairie Points in 2 fabrics
  8. Continuous Interlocking Scrappy Prairie Points

There are 41 Prairie Points in my sampler, and the instructions teach all 8. I used scraps of many shades of greens with a snow white background.

At the time of writing there is space for 2 more people (I cap it at 20).  The instructions plus the pattern for the Prairie Point Sampler is available for sale after the class, so if you can’t attend, but want the instructions, you can email me $5 and I’ll send it to you by email.  It’s a printable PDF so very user friendly.
