This project was a bit out of my comfort zone, fir This project was a bit out of my comfort zone, first it was the colour and then it was the blouse pattern. The pants were sewn first, that fabric insisted on following me home. I sewed a streamlined pair of Jalie's Eleonore pull-on jeans. BUT, I had nothing to wear with them. I went to Fabricland in Belleville and found 2 pieces, a very stretchy jersey, and THIS crinkle gauze. Both are the same colour. The jersey was quickly serged into a Jalie Dolman, but this fabric needed to be a blouse. Out came my stash of Burda Style magazines and this blouse pattern was perfect. Winter 2016. I like the gathered neckline and the little covered button there, too. It had been a while since I sewed a Burda with no seam allowance or hem allowance, and lots of tracing, but the results are sew worth the effort.
