The Good ❤ ❤ ❤

The feedback was heartwarming.

  • Zoom class was wonderful, directions very well illustrated while she sewed the project right before our eyes…And Yvette’s patience is amazing. Always there to answer our questions. Sew looking forward to the scrappy casserole carrier next month. Well done Yvette Matthys Chilcott-Lafosse  xoxo ☺☺
  • That was an amazing lesson this morning, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you so much!!!
  • Great Zoom class!!! Great Zoom teacher!! Hugs ❣️
  • Scrap Happy sewing Projects each month. Today we learned how to sew a small purse from scraps of fabric.  Each month Yvette teaches sewing enthusiasts how to use up those scrap pieces of fabric and make a useful project.  February was oven mitts and for the month of April a casserole carrier. These sessions are on Zoom and the cost is minimal 5.00 for each lesson.  I have been sewing since I was 12 years old, many years ago. Each lesson I learn something new.  Please have a look at  Yvette Matthys Chilcott-Lafosse  website and join the session. Lots of fun and even more to learn!
  • It was a great Zoom, can’t wait for next month!
  • you deserve every kudo!!! you are an amazing teacher!!!! ❤
  • Your love shows Yvette…so sharing…so helpful 💕

What can I say?  A heartfelt THANK YOU!

The Bad

I didn’t follow my own written instructions as I was sewing the purse, and missed attaching the interior pocket in the right order.  Oops. Caught in time, whew!

The “Needs Improvement”

My grasp of the Zoom controls needs more work.  The improvement this month over last was that now I know how to “mute all”.  Next month I will set up an ironing station near my sewing machine (thank you for that suggestion Heather), and I have to remember to change my laptop screen view before I begin to record the video.  I’ve also ordered a new camera with a wider view, and will put it to use in my next class.

All in all I’m quite satisfied how the mini purse zoom class turned out, AND I now have another quilted mini purse to choose from and/or gift.  I LOVE the bright colours of the webbing, bought locally at Groovy Threads.

The next Scrap Happy Zoom class (the 3rd one) will be on Sunday, April 25th at 10 a.m. local (Toronto) time. You can register any time by sending me $5 in Canadian funds.  (Here’s a post describing Scrap Happy).  I’ll be using some scrap and leftover fabric to sew an insulated casserole carrier.  If you aren’t a subscriber to my newsletter, be sure to add your info now.
