12 Jalie Patterns in a new Collection Spring 2019

It’s a “work in progress”, but close to completion, a collection of 12 new Jalie sewing patterns for 2019 will be released soon.  As a Jalie Ambassador, I get to choose a few and sew them up for “advance promotion”.  Emilie (Jalie) teased those of us attending a garment sewing retreat in Ingersoll last November by wearing samples.  Wow! 12 new Jalie Patterns Spring 2019.

Sew, Which Jalie(s) am I Going to Make?

 I can’t tell you too much, (sworn to secrecy) but…….there’s a cardigan for knits, a classic dress/top/tunic for knits, a V-neck top for wovens with interesting seam details, and a pair of shorts/capris designed for a soft woven fabric. That’s a total of 4.   With these ideas floating around in my head, on vacation in the U.S. where there are Joann Fabrics and Hobby Lobby, I bought fabric.  (shhhh, it’s stuffed under the back seat, out of my hubby’s line of sight) (he thinks I have enough fabric, ha ha ha)

Joann Fabrics had nothing that excited me price ways, but Hobby Lobby was a wonderful surprise.  It was my first visit and I’ll go back when I can.  Their every-day prices are reasonable with no gimmicks or confusing coupons needed. They close on Sundays, though, which often is a free day for me when I’m on vacation.

Sewing Machine, Get Ready!

Saturday will be my first sewing day upon returning home.  By then my fabric purchases will be pre-washed and dried.  My choices of the Jalie Patterns Spring 2019 will be printed, trimmed and taped together, ready for sewing.  I’ll keep you posted, as soon as I get the green light from Jalie.
