Jalie Garment Sewing Retreat Date Change!

Finally, (for me) a Jalie garment sewing retreat! Ever since I helped out at a retreat in Ingersoll for my friend Catherine with Emilie (Jalie’s Emilie) I’ve wanted to host my own. After all, I am a Jalie Ambassador! I sew Jalie, wear Jalie, and frequently teach classes and lessons featuring their patterns. Then covid came. And then I zoomed, lol, and began teaching on Zoom. That was ok, better than nothing, but……..something was missing. The personal touch. I do mentor a sewing group at our local library weekly, and we started getting back together as soon as we could. And it was wonderful!

Then quilting retreats started to make a come-back. And I got back into the classroom and realized how much I’ve been missing being there. That Sewing Place in Newmarket has booked me for a 2-day live sewing event, and my own sewing peeps encouraged me to go for it and host my own, too.

So I have. I booked the room for ~~Friday September 9th and Saturday September 10th~~. Changed to Friday November 18th and Saturday November 19th. It’s in our Quinte West City Hall on Creswell Avenue in Trenton Ontario. In the same room that our group sews in weekly. It’s bright, spacious, accessible, parking is closeby!

Limited to 10 people, so each will have their own table. There’s space for a cutting table (on risers), a couple of ironing boards with irons, and refreshments will be included. Lunch will not be provided, but options are within easy walking distance.
