Jalie 2107 Pants for Men and Boys
Jalie 2107 Pants for Bill
I’m on the last leg of a 10-day vacation. The first few days away from home are always relaxing and full of anticipation. Then I realize how much I miss my fur babies. And I miss my friends. And I miss my family. Then I start to think about sewing.
What am I going to sew next?
Bill needs a new pair of vacation pants and I’ve been eyeing the Jalie Pants and Shorts for Men 2107 for a while. The style, along with the cargo pockets are exactly like a pair of shorts he really likes. Those pockets are much more secure for your wallet than a back pocket.
They’re out of print, but easily downloadable as a PDF.
I hope to find a piece of twill in a khaki colour in my stash if not, I’m going fabric shopping. I checked a Joann Fabrics here in Charlottesville Virginia but didn’t find what I wanted.
I hope to start this weekend, by downloading the PDF pattern for the Jalie 2107 Pants for Men and Boys. I’ll measure the shorts he wears to help figure out what size to print, then I’ll probably have to add a bit of length. (He’s 6 ft 4 in)
I also plan to add security flaps over the back pockets similar to the ones over the cargo pockets.
Sewing room, here I come. I’ve missed you!
Here’s my first pair, click here.
What are YOU going to sew next?
Do you sew for the guys in your life?
You are missed as well Yvette and Bill!!!
Yvette, sewed for our son when he as small, some 40 odd years ago. Looking forward to seeing the results of your cargo pants for your hubby. Will he model, like you and put his photo on your blog!!! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Your vision is truly inspiring!!
Hi Heather, the internet here is off and on, hope this gets through. I’m looking forward to sewing this project. Will my hubby model? hmmmmmmmm, time will tell, but I suspect he will.
I look forward to seeing your progress. I do sew Comox trunks and Jalie tshirts for the men in my life. My next project is a Briar mashup with a curved hem, vneck and bell sleeves.
I’ll post as I progress Tammy, thanks for the encouragement :)I now have all the pieces printed, so it’s upstairs for me to tape them together. I’ll check out those Comox trunks, too.
