Hanging Towel Scrunchie

Hanging Towel Scrunchie

No buttons, no buttonholes so easy to make and easy to launder!  The bunny applique is a fun addition to the towel, but you could add it to many other projects.

I used a “tea-towel”, but a hand towel would work really well instead. The bunny gets appliqued to the base fabric first, then appliqued to the towel, so it looks good from the back, too. I used a variety of applique stitches and will show you how I stitched it out during the class.

I used the same fabric for the scrunchie as I did for the applique, and I really like the convenience of how it hangs on the oven door.  Great for drying or wiping my hands when I cook, and I cook a lot.

Sew, this will be my Scrap Happy project this month, March 27th, at 10 a.m. my time,  Trenton Ontario, (same as Toronto Ontario). It’s a “Zoom” class, runs about 1 hours, and attendance is limited to 20 people.

To register, e-transfer $5 (Canadian) to me at yvettechilcott@yahoo.ca.  That will reserve your place, give you access to the Zoom class that morning,  full instructions to the project, and a link to the recorded Zoom class for 1 month afterward.  Some attendees like to sew along with me, and for those that would like to, I do send out a supply list prior to the class.  The instructions get sent out the day before as well, giving you time to print and prepare for the class.

In the meantime, find yourself a nice towel, and some pieces of co-ordinating “spring-time” fabrics.  I look forward to seeing you on the 27th!

Be sure to check out some of the other Scrap Happy Classes I’ve taught:
