Classes and Workshops Survey

Teaching Classes and Workshops are “My Thing”

UPDATED AT 2:18 Friday May 3rd, Survey is closed, thank you for participating.

Most of you, my readers, know that I love to teach.  Lessons, classes and workshops were the back-bone of my success as a knitting machine and sewing machine retailer.

New opportunities for teaching have presented themselves and I’d like your input for direction.  Here is a survey with some questions about classes, workshops, duration, subjects and more.  Please take your time and share as much information with me as you can.  If you take classes from me or want to, here’s your chance to steer me onto the right road.  You don’t have to sign your name, but I’d love it if you do.

Thank you.

I teach machine knitting lessons and workshops, here’s an outline of a recent one.

Other than the Spring 2019 show, I’ve taught classes and lectures at the CreativFestival.

  1. Much as I would love to attend a class with an actual instructor that I can ask questions of, I live in a rural, isolated area. My instructors are all found on YouTube. If I run into a serious jam, I bug my next door neighbor. I wish somebody would teach classes or hold workshops here. I can go to JoAnn’s in the nearest large city, but that’s an hour drive one way.

  2. Hi Maya, first, my apologies for not responding sooner. I could have, and should have, I appreciate you taking the time to respond, and understand your dilemma. I too love to take classes and attend workshops, and am lucky that our local quilt guild offers them regularly. The downside is that they only focus on quilting. I also sew garments and machine knits. Perhaps you have a guild nearby that also offers classes and workshops. The internet has brought knowledge closer to home, that’s for sure. Again, many thanks for taking the time to respond. 🙂
