I’m hosting my 4th Jalie Garment Retreat!  

As a Jalie Sewing Ambassador, I’ve sewn most of their garment patterns.  Many of them have been the focus for classes, both in person and on Zoom.  I have an extensive knowledge of the techniques that add a professional touch to your garments.  Sewing machine, serger, and cover-stitch hints and tips are all part of my sewing education, and I share all of that in the classes I teach.  I’m very experienced in working with knit fabrics as well as garment fitting.

More Retreat Details

We’ll sew in a large, bright private meeting room, part of the Quinte West Library.  Address is 7 Creswell Drive Trenton, ON K8V 5R6.  Our hours are from 10 to 5 on Friday and 10 to 4 on Saturday.  Everyone will have their own table, there will also be tables raised up for comfort.  I’ll bring my professional iron and board, there will also be a smaller ironing board set up. 

A small selection of sewing supplies will be available just in case.

Coffee, tea, bottled water and snack will be provided, but due to so many food allergies, I ask that you bring your own lunches. There is a Metro grocery store across the parking lot where they have a great selection of prepared foods as well.

Then, plan your sewing project(s).  Maybe you already have Jalie patterns ready to sew.  Or, you want to try a new one or two.  Go to the Jalie website and have fun.  Read the descriptions, check out the information  (there is a lot there) and make your decisions.   If you need or want some guidance, I’m available for help by email at yvettechilcott@yahoo.ca or Zoom.  (I’m not experienced in dance/skating apparel.)  We can set something up.

You can come with your garment cut out and ready to make, or come with your pattern, tracing paper and we can start there.  Bring your sewing supplies and we’ll have fun together.
